Ahhhhh! Comfort and the right fit. I have chronic plantar fasciitis and have a tough time with closed shoes and have suffered until now in sneakers I had to buy too large to put orthotics in them. Agree with reviews...tried and failed anyway - I read the reviews and tried anyway thinking my wider feet would accommodate the "larger than marked" size. However...the size of the strap across the toes I would say is accurate if not on the small side, but the strap is so loose and large that it would surprise me if this shoe worked for any foot without alterations. The clasp is velcro so not adjustable and the material over the heel is not so attractive as well as it attracting lint. Returned these the day they came, will shop here again though!!

After wearing Doc Martens for years, which has always enjoyed a reputation of offering uncommonly good support in its products, it was extremely difficult to find a walking/casual type shoe that was comfortable to me (I believe the Docs quality has been on a downswing the last few years). After trying several different shoes, the Capezio Canvas Dansneaker is what I settled on for Zumba. (I found that a regular tennis shoe had too much traction for the pivoting of Zumba, and it was hard on my knees.) A very comfortable slipper, and with a cloth lining that does cause one?s feet to perspire. Only problem is that for seniors, I?d be careful with this slipper. It has a very thick sole and it?s easy to misjudge steps, or while walking on carpeting, to trip because the soles grip a bit too well. Also, the cloth lining doesn?t last all that long. I had mine about six months, and only wore these with bare feet or with socks, and still the lining started to wear (holes, etc.). It?s probably great on hard floors; carpeting is a bit of a problem.

A mainly good shoe, with a few caveats - I love the look of the Waypoint and it is generally comfortable--but I had to get a full size larger than normal to get the right length. It also feels very narrow. Nevertheless, I am able to wear it all day with comfort and go on walks in it. It is best with a thin sock--thick sweatsox make it too tight. My main issue, after solving the fit issue, is that the shoe strings are way too short for the shoe, with barely enough lace to get it tied. No way to double knot them either. I removed the insert in order to put in my orthotics, but had to add a flat, foam insert for best cushioning effect.
