An absolutely wonderful shoe. I recently purchased the 8053 in Brown/Grizzly. I love it and decided that I 'needed' new Docs in black as well. But, for a little less funky look, I decided to get the smooth leather, 3 whole 'Gibson' style oxford in a 'w'. This means it's a womens rather then a unisex; slightly narrower toe box and arch/vamp area. No padded collar which is so comfy and I did feel the slight heel rub which other reviewers have mentioned, but forewarned is forearmed and I immediately put on a bandaid over each rub area, pulled on a pair of 'wigwam' style crew socks, put on my new shoes and totally forgot they were on and wore them all day. The fit is true, great arch support and the shoe feels so light. A very happy camper here.

Although I love these boots, I agree that the fit runs small. I have a narrow foot, and I would recommend that people order 1/2 size bigger than they usually wear. I, however, love the boots and they were hard to get on. Once on, they were very comfortable, and I just love the way that they look.

Although I live in Hawaii where most people run around barefoot or in slippers, I wear shoes with orthotic inserts. Almost skate - Most of my life I've always worn skate shoes and I recently decided I?d like to keep the uncommon skate brand but move to a different type of shoe. The Globe Pulse was just what I was looking for and being the groovy music kinda person I am, the khaki color suited me just right. After a day of breaking them in they were very comfortable but my only criticism would be the elastic holding down the tongue. It's comfier without that and showing off your tongue just looks cooler.

Almost perfect - After years of abusing my feet in Steve Madden and other fashion shoes with killer heels, I decided to go for a truly comfortable pair of boots this year. These Tsubos are not QUITE as comfortable as a Clarks pair I tried on, but they are still the most comfortable "New York Boot" I've ever worn. I just had to go with the look of the Tsubos - Clarks were a little too far in that direction for me to feel happy. :) The heel is just high enough to be stylish. The overall shoe is comfortable enough to wear several days a week, for hours at a time. I do plan to take good care of these, as the leather seems a bit soft and delicate. Overall I feel I made the right choice.

Almost $600 and five returns to Logohoo later, I finally found the perfect pair of boots! I have 16" calves and these are definitely true to size. Other boots that I had ordered (and then returned) were also supposed to have 16.5" calf width, but I couldn't even zipper them up. These are so easy to get on. They are a very beautiful, timeless pair of boots. No tacky buckles or zippers, so they will be in style for a long time. They look so beautiful with cute dark jeans and a beige sweater! Allen Edmonds Eastport British Tan. I bought some Allen Edmonds dress shoes a year ago, and loved their craftsmanship, looks, and comfort. Being American made, they are well suited to our generally wider feet. I needed a casual shoe to replace my aging Ecco shoes. I naturally looked at what Allen Edmonds had. I owned boat shoes in the past. I remember them as not so comfortable and prone to coming apart. They were Timberland. I was curious how Allen Edmonds would tackle making a boat shoe. These Allen Edmonds shoes have an extra eyelet that I thought might lend comfort over the arch, and it does. The finish is durable. The stitching is tough, and well done. The soles have very good grip on wet surfaces. It has quality leather that you feel when you put them on. The leather laces are oiled...Good move. I read the reviews here before I purchased the shoes. My shoe size is 10E. The reviews say the Eastport runs narrow, so I bought the 10EEE. They fit to a tee. Pulling the ties tight around the heel prevents blisters. I took my shoes out of the box, cinched them to my feet, and walked a mile in them without any discomfort at all. They are certainly distinct looking. I didn't even consider the Mephisto, a shoe costing twice as much, because they didn't have the same quality or the fine looks.

The other problem that I had was at the tip or top, my foot got very cold when standing in the snow to clean off my car.
